About us

Adjacent to the 13th century Broadgate there has been an inn on this site since the 17th century, when the landlord was fined for "harbouring divers lewd and evil disposed persons, rogues, beggars and such like." Thankfully the pub is more refined now and is a quality single bar hostelry with plenty of character, straddling the old town ditch. One end of the bar has a cosy real fire and the other end is more food oriented.

This laid-back inn, set in a historic lodging and public house dating back to 1668, lies a 6-minute walk from St Laurence's Church, an 8-minute walk from Ludlow Castle and 2.9 miles from Ludlow Racecourse.

The 5 stylish rooms have en suite bathrooms, TVs, and tea and coffee making facilities, the rooms are situated above a casual pub with 2 cosy fireplaces and original 17th-century stone and timber accents.
